Scotty here, I might be a Spridget fanatic but it would be rude not to share some of the other great shots I grabbed at Brands Hatch today, obviously I went for the Lackford Engineering Sponsored Midget & Sprite Challenge.
The Lackford Engineering Midget & Sprite Challenge is a national race series for MG Midgets and Austin Healey Sprites (built 1956-1979). The championship, established in 1977, is now in its 40th season and is run at all major UK circuits, it is professionally organised but also is a very friendly championship.

I went in order to explore support for my school. I met some great people who where very supportive of my plans to open a school teaching kids basic car maintenance using my Spridget collection. I am still amazed how each and every team took time to hear my plans. Every conversation was valuable to me with some great ideas and suggestions about how to progress matters.
The idea of getting a car ready for next year with an under 16 pit crew was widely supported, with offers to help inspect our car and more. This is a great group of of enthusiasts. If you want a door into the Classic car world I can highly recommend the fans of this circle of enthusiasts.
Don’t forget support the cause & follow Scotty’s Retro Workshop on Facebook to keep up to speed with my Social Enterprise, a School teaching Practical Skills4kids made possible by Classic Car Enthusiasts and Suppliers
