Scotty here … Great Day at Brands Hatch today, obviously I went for the Lackford Engineering Sponsored Midget & Sprite Challenge.
I met some great people who where very supportive of my project to open a school teaching kids basic car maintenance using my Spridget collection. The idea of getting a car ready for next year with an under 16 pit crew was widely supported, with offers to help inspect our car and more. Love this community. If your a Spridget fan then I can personally recommend Robin Lackford Engineering as they have undertaken work on my 65 Sprite in years gone by. If you want a sense of the friendliness of this gang take a close look at the shot below.
Robin Lackford Engineering are The Midget and Sprite Challenge sponsors. They are classic car specialists and have a proud long trading history (the 2nd generation of the Lackford family now work in the business). They have a lifetime experience in Motorsport having prepared cars for racing since the 1970s.
I can’t wait for the next round.
Don’t forget support the cause & follow Scotty’s Retro Workshop on Facebook to keep up to speed with my Social Enterprise, a School teaching Practical Skills4kids made possible by Classic Car Enthusiasts and Suppliers
